This rare Chanel Single Flap Bag is one of the first models featuring the iconic CC turnlock, a design introduced by Karl Lagerfeld when he joined Chanel as a designer in 1983. Since then, the CC logo has become an unmistakable hallmark of Chanel. This bag dates from 1983–1985, before Chanel began using serial numbers in their bags. It is crafted from black lambskin, which remains wonderfully soft and is in good condition. The hardware is 24-karat gold-plated, fully intact, and in excellent condition. The leather feels supple and is in outstanding shape. There are light signs of wear, mainly on the corners and edges, which are expected for a bag of this age and only enhance its vintage character. The interior has been professionally replaced with Bordeaux red leather. This bag does not have a serial number.
