This gorgeous vintage Chanel half moon double flap in black lambskin is a timeless classic and an elegant addition to any designer collection. The iconic Chanel bag is crafted from black matelassé lambskin leather and finished with beautiful 24-karat gold-plated hardware, creating the luxurious vintage look Chanel is known for. Thanks to its stylish half moon silhouette and classic double flap construction, this pre-owned Chanel bag is both practical and exceptionally elegant.
This authentic vintage Chanel bag dates from the period before 1986. During these years, Chanel had not yet started using serial numbers inside their handbags, which is characteristic of early vintage pieces. The bag remains in beautiful vintage condition with light signs of wear consistent with its age. There are some minor imperfections visible on a few edges and small dents in the leather, but overall the bag is in very well-maintained condition.
To preserve the appearance of the leather as beautifully as possible, the bag was professionally treated in the past by a specialized bag spa. During this process, the leather was carefully treated and lightly restored with respect for the original Chanel lambskin leather.
The gold-tone 24-karat gold-plated hardware still retains a beautiful deep golden color. There are light scratches and minimal discoloration visible, consistent with an authentic vintage Chanel bag, but the hardware remains in lovely condition.
The shoulder chain measures approximately 89 cm in length, allowing the Chanel half moon flap bag to be worn in several different ways. Elegantly as a shoulder bag, stylishly as a clutch with the chain tucked inside, or as a high crossbody for someone with a petite height/frame.
The bag closes with the iconic Chanel CC turnlock closure and features a main compartment with a smoothly functioning zipper. In addition, the bag has an extra compartment, making it very practical for everyday use. The interior is finished in Chanel’s signature burgundy fabric lining and remains in neat and clean condition.
